In the statement from Brad Pitt’s legal representatives, it is stated that “It is terrible that scammers exploit the strong bond between fans and celebrities.”
Mr. Pitt’s spokesperson said, “It is awful that scammers take advantage of the strong connection fans have with celebrities. This incident serves as an important reminder not to respond to unsolicited online messages, especially if they appear to come from actors who are not active on social media.”
The response from Mr. Pitt’s representatives was actually the same as the one given in late September 2024. At that time, two Spanish women, who were fans of the actor, were also victims of a similar scam. Five people were arrested at that time, and the amount of the fraud was 340,000 euros. Anne is currently hospitalized due to depression, and authorities are investigating the fraud case against her.
