Anikrishnan explains on this matter: “Both extreme heat and cold lead to the degradation of electrodes.” He advises against using your phone while it’s charging, “because this generates excessive heat, which accelerates chemical degradation.”
Placing your phone under a pillow or blanket is also harmful, as it causes the phone to overheat.
