First Car Exhibition After lifting of the Import Ban

After the ban on importing non-Chinese cars was lifted, the International Car Exhibition is being held.

At this auto show, which continues until January 31st, modern vehicles of all shapes and sizes, including electric cars and those with upward-opening doors, are on display. However, even with the import ban lifted, many locals still cannot afford their dream car due to remaining barriers.

A weak currency and high inflation rates have made purchasing modern and new cars, even those made in the country, impossible for millions of people. The country’s economy continues to suffer from economic sanctions related to its nuclear program, which have led to the ongoing devaluation of the rial. Lastly, international car shows are not just for the elite; they cater to a broad audience. While the latest luxury models might steal the spotlight, there are also sections dedicated to budget-friendly cars, retrofits, and classic car restorations.
